Always great service, food and atmosphere. Some changes due to Clovis 19 but still a great restaurant.

Great portions. Loved the antipasti salad. Garlic bread is perfect. Nice wine. Tempting desserts case! I didn't have room for dessert, but also thought it was a tad overpriced. The lighting is fine in person, but had a dim orange affect that does not photo well.

I definitely enjoyed this place. I ordered the crab cakes over pasta and it was delicious! The garlic bread was good as well. The environment there is pretty cool, they have a lot of pics and posters from movies displayed on the walls. It was hard to choose what I wanted to eat, because everything sounded soo good. I will definitely be going back to try different plates and save some room for desert. GIVE IT A TRY! YOU'LL BE GLAD YOU DID!

Fantastic! The food is some of the best Italian you can get in San Antonio. Skip olive garden and zios and go here. Prices good and quality is great! Highly recommended!

I think we found our new favorite Italian restaurant. Nice date night with my hubby. Selection was about as good as Olive garden. The food was better than OG; not as greasy. The prices were cheaper. Service of the food getting to our table was a tiny bit slow. But the food all seemed fresh cooked and large sized portions. The staff was friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was not fancy but clean. Descent parking spaces and no waiting at 5 pm on a Tuesday night. I liked all the celebrity movie star pics on the walls.

We placed an order for a Statue of Liberty and King Kong. We were very disappointed on the subs when we received them. We were expecting big subs and instead we got what looked like food truck sandwiches and even food truck sandwiches don’t taste like seeds on the bread tases burnt. So over all it was very disappointing.

The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious! Everything was perfectly seasoned! We found our new restaurant for Italian food. Will definitely be back!

My husband took me to this place on one of our first dates over 4 years ago. Since then I have shared this hidden gem with my family and friends, highly recommending EVERYTHING on the menu. After all these years, this place is still one of my top picks!

Service was good, we had 2 birthdays and 1 anniversary, birthday small serving with candles and real whipped cream. Food was good, each of us had something different, from grilled cheese for 12 year old birthday girl, godfather hamburger for one grandma, crabcake Alfredo for me was delicious. My husband was disappointed in the bread, he said perhaps it had to much olive oil.

1st visit here. It won't be the last. Really enjoyed it. Very friendly staff.

After wanting to try this place for 20 yrs I was extremely disappointed! Extremely over-priced for bad tasting food. If anyone wants good tasting italian food do not go here

Super food, super service, excellent food,fair price.

Absolutely the worst Italian food I have eaten in years. The shrimp fettuccine was horrendous and I suspect that the few shrimp that were included were freezer burned, my wife left 75% of hers on the plate.The ravioli tasted like a version of Chef Boyardee’s frozen food.The prices are high and the quality is low.

This was our first time here & we were not disappointed! Unfortunately, we were unable to experience the entire dining experience due to covid but after we will be back! $15 plates are WORTH IT!

This saddens me to see this place the way it is now. It use to be my favorite restaurant. A diamond in the rough. I don't know if it is due to the times or what, but we were a table of 6 and each and everyone of our plates came out cold. They literally popped them into the microwave and brought them back out. My chicken parm came out tasting freezer burnt. Their meals use to taste like they were all homemade and fresh, sadly this is not the case anymore. When we brought it to their attention the one waitress was nice and tried to do her best. The other one was rude as hell like we had done something wrong. Unfortunately we will not be going back. 😥

This use to be my favorite restaurant. I’m a vegetarian and today ordered the cheese lasagna and began eating and instantly realized there was little bits of meat in the sauce and then I got sick. I’ve ordered this plate before and have never had this problem. There was also a short hair in the plate that I noticed after.

I loved this Italian restaurant! To begin, the restaurant is extremely well decorated with hundreds of glamorous headshots of celebrities and other notable people and events. Our food was well made and it was clear from the first bite that there was immense quality and flavor present in their entrees. Additionally, Papa Dante's is very handicapped accessible with easy entrances and bathrooms.

Used to go more as a kid when we moved here in 89 and the years moving forward. The place hasn't changed in the decor of posters and pictures of actors and other celebrities, and is warm and familiar. Started going back some months ago and really enjoyed having those memories return. Portions were great and food was tasty and prices were reasonable. Staff was friendly and attentive as well. Overall glad to see and support local businesses.

Service was amazing! Pizza was not..the margarita cheese pizza was bad... Pasta was delicious! Seemed more of like a typical Italian American restaurant with nothing crazy special. Desert was also really great!

We just stopped by for the first time and the food we great. Papa Dante's has the goods. My favorite is the Dean Martin with pepperoni. Chicken Alfredo is legit. Great service and atmosphere. I'll let you discover the desserts- no spoilers.

Just found this hidden gem and we are so impressed with the quality, flavor and absolute care they put into their food. Food was fresh, sauce had so much flavor, sandwich was toasted perfectly including the garlic bread. We have found our new favorite Italian restaurant!

It's been over two years since we have dined here and the food is still very delicious as we last visited. The homemade Garlic bread is very good. The Mostaciolli, Lasagna, Spaghetti, Chicken and Veal Parmesan dishes are excellent! I recommend walking around and seeing all the memorabilia on their walls. I know everyone will have a good experience dining there and I recommend eating here.

It is a very nice place. I absolutely loved the food. The service was great. We went this Friday night. My family will be coming back. There could be an upgrade on the booths. Mark was a great server! Shout out to him.

It's been a good 10yrs since I last ate here. It's still the best Italian food. My family have been coming here since I was a kid in the 80s. So glad it's still around. My kid loved the Fettuccine Alfredo so much that she wanted more. She want to eat here again tomorrow. 😂 Best Veal Parmesan and hubby had the lasagna. Huge portions enough to share.

The decor in this place is awesome. Thousands of portraits and memorabilia from yesteryear. I'd go back for the visuals alone. I enjoyed my chicken lasagna and plan to go back again.

This is down home Italian cooking at its best. A kitschy cool interior with a ton of photographs of film stars and Italian celebrities adorning the walls matches the home friendly service and portion sizes. No fancy cutlery here but they boast a decent list of wines and tasty food which is a nice respite when driving through these parts.

Wonderful restaurant with delicious authentic Italian food! The staff is always friendly and helpful. The Chicken Parmesan is fantastic but you can’t go wrong with anything here! They also have a great selection of desserts! Highly recommended if you’re in the San Antonio area.

Great family owned local Italian restaurant. Food selection is good and very delicious. Very family friendly with both restaurant and tavern. They often have events where families hangout and listen to artists and/or bands play music, while the kids can run around. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a family friendly and laid back experience.

Payed almost 70.00 for food lasagna that was cold and salty yes it was warmed up but that's not the point. Side salad was so plain had alot of ends on my salad.Sauce tast all like tamotes needs more flavor. I would not recommend this place.
